UF in Beijing: Chinese Commerce and culture is a six week program is split into three parts. The first part is taught at UF. From May 13-May 24, students will learn about China’s commerce and culture. The second part will be in Beijing from June 23-June 27. During this week, participants will conduct site visits to Chinese and international businesses such as: Hyundai Manufacturing, Zhongguancun Software Park, Career International (Human Resource Consulting) and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Participants will also explore some of China’s most significant cultural treasures, including the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, the 798 Art District and more. In phase three, students will become teachers at prestigious Tsinghua University in Beijing from June 27-July 21. At Tsinghua, UF students work on international teams to teach rising sophomores about western culture and conversational English.
